Act is seeking a high capacity and capable Executive Assistant who can provide complete administrative and project support to Act’s Sr. VP of Finance & Administration. The Executive Assistant will possess a keen ability to efficiently and effectively coordinate all internal processes associated with the Finance & Administration Department, and can winsomely interface with staff and external stakeholders on behalf of the Sr. VP of Finance & Administration. The Executive Assistant will not only be highly organized and administratively gifted, but will also be forward thinking and strategic in moving projects forward and adding capacity to the Finance & Administration department. The Executive Assistant must be able to exercise keen intuition and anticipate needs and recommend actions. Personable and engaging with strong communication abilities, the Executive Assistant will positively represent the Sr. VP of Finance & Administration to Act staff and stakeholders, while maintaining a high-degree of confidentiality.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to developing processes and systems to increase the efficiencies of the Finance & Administration department, calendar management & scheduling, data & Dropbox management, presentation preparation, meeting execution, technology and equipment use and troubleshooting, basic accounting, and office supply management.

Act (Advocates for Community Transformation) is a rapidly growing non-profit justice organization with a new model of ministry that uses the legal system to empower inner-city residents to fight crime on their streets while sharing with them the hope of the gospel. Act’s vision is to see safe neighborhoods, where crime is no longer tolerated and dignity and hope are restored. Act currently serves multiple neighborhoods in Dallas, Texas and is positioned for expansion; the organization operates as a 501c3 with 25+ full-time employees and a $3.4 million annual budget.

Education and experience: Bachelor’s degree with demonstrated organizational abilities and technological proficiency, including a strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, Dropbox, and a working knowledge of Quickbooks or other accounting software; previous administrative experience working with senior leaders; strong written and verbal communication skills; and a “no job is too small” mentality (which is expected of all team members at Act.)

Act is growing its Community Advocate team by seeking individuals with fluency in Spanish who can bring a disciplined presence and passionate enthusiasm for Act’s mission and vision. The ideal candidate must be a servant-leader who exhibits a growing relationship with Jesus Christ, a passion for social justice, and the leadership ability to effectively shepherd others.

Act Community Advocates educate, empower, and mobilize inner-city residents to fight crime in their communities. The role requires a strong sense of justice as well as a tactical, investigative, bold, and tenacious character necessary to inspire and organize residents. Act Community Advocates are highly relational and possess a keen ability to engage individuals in high crime urban neighborhoods with a compassionate spirit and a strong level of discernment. The ideal candidate will have experience utilizing this broad skill set across a wide range of relationships, cultures and environments.

Education and Experience: College degree required with 3 – 5 years work experience. Preferred experience includes time spent in a Christian-based nonprofit performing cross-cultural work and/or direct sales experience that can easily translate into inner-city, relational work.

Act (Advocates for Community Transformation) is a rapidly growing non-profit justice organization with a new model of ministry that uses the legal system to empower inner-city residents to fight crime on their streets while sharing with them the hope of the gospel. Act’s vision is to see safe neighborhoods, where crime is no longer tolerated and dignity and hope are restored.

Act currently serves multiple neighborhoods in Dallas, Texas and is positioned for expansion; the organization operates as a 501c3 with 30+ full-time employees and a $4.5 million annual budget. In order to meet these funding goals, Act is seeking to grow its development team by hiring qualified and energetic Development Officers to work together in executing all aspects of the organization’s fundraising and development strategy, under the direction of the VP of Advancement.

The Development Officer directly assists in establishing and implementing the infrastructure needed to grow a $4.5 million annual budget through the solicitation of major gifts, grants, special events, and corporate and foundation support. Reporting to and working in close partnership with the VP of Advancement and other Development team members, the Development Officer assists in cultivating and tracking relationships across multiple donor constituencies and in leading those individuals and entities to make a joyful financial investment in the ministry of Act.

The Development Officer effectively, intelligently, credibly, and passionately communicates Act’s story of justice in the inner-city to key stakeholder audiences; performs the back office details of implementing and evaluating Act’s annual funding strategy; assists in the detailed execution of fundraising events; and regularly conducts donor correspondence.

Act team members possess a growing relationship with Jesus Christ, passion for social justice, humility, commitment to producing excellent work product, desire to collaborate with a diverse team, and drive to be innovative and entrepreneurial. The ideal Development Officer will possess these qualities, as well as be highly personable and engaging, balanced with a refined professionalism and have the ability to move relationships forward strategically.

Education and Experience: Bachelors degree in business, marketing, or other related field and at least 3 years of experience in a non-profit or for-profit organization, managing and forging ongoing relationships with multiple constituencies and/or customers. Demonstrated high-touch relationship building and communication skills are required. Previous experience with relationship management software is a plus (specifically Salesforce).

Act is a data-driven culture with a vision to scale its Monitoring & Evaluation operations. As a part of this growth, Act is seeking a Data & Evaluation Coordinator who will support this vision for data-driven program strategy by ensuring the integrity, functionality, and accessibility of Act’s data for Act team members.

 

Primary responsibilities include complete management of the organization’s CRM software (Salesforce), technical formation and development of the database, data quality management and oversight, and Salesforce training for staff. The Data & Evaluation Coordinator will also facilitate Act’s data management, program evaluation efforts, data visualization and analytics through the creation of mechanisms, such as dashboards.

The Data & Evaluation Coordinator will possess these qualities in addition to a strong commitment and attention to detail, proficiency in technical development of integrated solutions, problem solving acumen, analytical aptitude, and clear and compelling verbal and written communication abilities.

Education and experience: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent combination of experience and/or education. Licensed Salesforce Administrator preferred. Experience in Tableau, R, Apex, and Visualforce is a plus.
