Executive Assistant – Sr. VP of Finance & Administration
Act is seeking a high capacity and capable Executive Assistant who can provide complete administrative and project support to Act’s Sr. VP of Finance & Administration. The Executive Assistant will possess a keen ability to efficiently and effectively coordinate all internal processes associated with the Finance & Administration Department, and can winsomely interface with staff and external stakeholders on behalf of the Sr. VP of Finance & Administration. The Executive Assistant will not only be highly organized and administratively gifted, but will also be forward thinking and strategic in moving projects forward and adding capacity to the Finance & Administration department. The Executive Assistant must be able to exercise keen intuition and anticipate needs and recommend actions. Personable and engaging with strong communication abilities, the Executive Assistant will positively represent the Sr. VP of Finance & Administration to Act staff and stakeholders, while maintaining a high-degree of confidentiality.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to developing processes and systems to increase the efficiencies of the Finance & Administration department, calendar management & scheduling, data & Dropbox management, presentation preparation, meeting execution, technology and equipment use and troubleshooting, basic accounting, and office supply management.

Act (Advocates for Community Transformation) is a rapidly growing non-profit justice organization with a new model of ministry that uses the legal system to empower inner-city residents to fight crime on their streets while sharing with them the hope of the gospel. Act’s vision is to see safe neighborhoods, where crime is no longer tolerated and dignity and hope are restored. Act currently serves multiple neighborhoods in Dallas, Texas and is positioned for expansion; the organization operates as a 501c3 with 25+ full-time employees and a $3.4 million annual budget.
Education and experience: Bachelor’s degree with demonstrated organizational abilities and technological proficiency, including a strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, Dropbox, and a working knowledge of Quickbooks or other accounting software; previous administrative experience working with senior leaders; strong written and verbal communication skills; and a “no job is too small” mentality (which is expected of all team members at Act.)
