Be an Advocate
ACT follows Jesus’ instruction to pursue justice for the poor. Prayer is one of the best ways you can help us in that pursuit. Often we encounter needs in the community that need prayer. We would be honored if you would join us in that effort.
Prayer walks through West and South Dallas are a way that ACT staff can get to know residents and hear their stories. Prayer Walks are also an excellent way for you to get involved in the lives of those we serve. These child-friendly events will give you the opportunity to walk through the streets and pray over our case work, churches, schools and families.
Save the date for our next prayer walk:

Family Bible Study
Our hope is that the spiritual lives of those we serve will be transformed and mirror the physical transformation we seek in the neighborhoods. Held every first and third Thursday at the Mattie Nash-Myrtle Davis Recreation Center (West Dallas), our Family Bible Study is a great opportunity to bring families from across West Dallas to study God’s word together. Volunteers are welcome, and encouraged to not only provide meals but participate in the study. Kids of all ages are welcome.
Email email@example.com for more information.
ACT’s vision is for West Dallas residents to be liberated from dangerous drug houses, with as peaceful of a resolution as possible, and free our residents from the oppression of crime and urban blight. Volunteer lawyers are the way we achieve this. Each case is assigned a lawyer to take legal action on behalf of the concerned residents. It is imperative that we have lawyers who will come alongside us in our work to fight for justice.
Our volunteer lawyers represent some of Dallas’ best law firms. Collectively through ACT, they have donated over $2 million in legal support and have provided over 200 wills to West Dallas residents to prevent current homes from harboring dangerous crime in the future.
ACT relies on the generosity of others to serve the community’s needs. The gifts of individuals and foundations allow us to expand our mission neighborhood by neighborhood. The result is a community transformed. ACT needs brave men and women to be advocates for justice along with us in our city. Please consider joining us in our work as a financial advocate and changing the lives of inner-city residents.
